Our two biggest lakes are also our two biggest sport fishing lakes which lie close to both Gothenburg and Stockholm. In Vänern, we fish for salmon and large trout. The weight caught is usually between 4-6kgs. Every year some of our customers manage to catch both types of fish weighing over 10kgs. In Vättern, we fish for salmon, trout and large salmon trout. The usual weight there is around 2-5kgs, with the odd larger fish from time to time. The larger salmon weigh in around 5-8kgs. An unusual amount of fish weighing over 10kgs has been caught in the last year. In the autumn, Wildwater caught a large salmon weighing in at 11,48kg, and in 2006 our first salmon catch resulted in super salmon at 12,140kgs.

In the spring, Vänern tends to be a little better as the water warms up quicker. In the autumn both lakes tend to compete with one another as to which is the best. It is also one the country's best time to fish for pike. Many pike weighing over 10kgs and up to 15kgs have been caught in the last few years.
